Completing the Verify Selective Service System Registration Task

When the Selective Service System Interconnection does not return a ‘Verified’ task result, you may need to modify the Task Result associated with the task as appropriate to document the next action taken, and to complete the task.

To complete the Verify Selective Service System Registration for Eligible New Hires task:

  1. Click the New Hires tab on the Dashboard.
  2. Click the appropriate new hire Name link.
  3. Select Human Resources from the drop-down list to view the tasks associated with each role.
  4. Click the Verify Selective Service System Registration task name to open the Task Details.

  5. Click Edit to modify the Task Result.
  6. Select the appropriate Task Result from the drop-down list to document the next action taken for the new hire.

  7. Click Save.

Notes:

  • This task is only assigned to new hires who respond Yes to “Were you born a male after Dec. 31, 1959?” from the OF-306.
  • If a user with permissions to Edit Task Details receives a Task Result of Error - See Notes, they will have one attempt to Refresh Result. If the interconnection returns an Error - See Notes result, the user may then choose to manually verify and or update the Task Result or otherwise complete the task.
