Creating an announcement template

To create an announcement template:

  1. Click Admin on the Dashboard.
  2. Click the Manage Announcement Templates link.
  3. Click Create Template.
  4. Enter the Template Name.
  5. Enter the Template Description.
  6. Select the Template Type from the drop-down list.
  7. Select the Owning Office from the drop-down list.
  8. Select Tags from the drop-down list, if applicable.

  9. Enter the Summary customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  10. Enter the Marketing Message customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement
  11. Enter the Marketing Link to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  12. Enter the Hiring Path Clarification Text, if applicable.
  13. Enter the Marketing Video Link to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  14. Enter the Duties customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  15. Enter the Responsibilities. Click Add Responsibility to add additional entries and type in the text.
  16. Enter the Requirements customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  17. Enter the Conditions of Employment. Click Add Conditions of Employment to add additional entries and type in the text.
  18. Enter the Qualifications customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  19. Enter the Education customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  20. Edit the Display Default Education Text box, if applicable.
  21. Enter the Additional Information customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  22. Enter the Benefits Link to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  23. Edit the Display Default Benefits Text box, if applicable.
  24. Enter the How You Will Be Evaluated customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  25. Enter the Required Documents customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  26. Enter the How To Apply customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.
  27. Enter the Next Steps customized text and/or drag and drop the appropriate Available Data Inserts to be displayed on the USAJOBS announcement.

Note: You can click Save after making adjustments to every section or you can click Save after making all adjustments.
