Inviting an applicant to apply to a closed vacancy

To invite an applicant to apply to a closed vacancy:

  1. Select a vacancy.
  2. Click the Applicant Overview tab.
  3. Click Invite Late Applicant.

  4. Select the appropriate Reason for Inviting New Online Applicant from the drop-down list.
  5. Enter the First Name.
  6. Enter the Last Name.

  7. Enter the Email address. This email must be the email address associated with the applicants login.gov/USAJOBS account.
  8. Enter the Duration of Access (hours) to Online Application. The maximum allowable duration is 120 hours.
  9. Click Send Invite. The following confirmation message displays: "Successfully sent invitation".
  10. Click Ok.

Note: Applicants may not update their application after the initial submission. In addition, the Invite Late Applicant option will not appear when an announcement is in Cancelled or Expired status.
