The Add Scenario pop-up box is where you test the validity of your ratings and screen-out(s) for the assessment. To access this pop-up box, select a Request Number in Pending Recruitment status from the Dashboard, click the Vacancy Number link in the Vacancy Created section, click the Assessment Package tab, click Test Plan, and click Add Scenario.

Note: This page is also a part of Manage Assessment Package Templates in the Templates section within Admin to be used when creating an Assessment Package template.

Add Scenario

The Add Scenario section is where you enter the name for the scenario to be tested, for example MQ, GS-11.

  • Scenario. This is where you enter the name of the scenario to include in your test.

The Outcomes section is where you indicate the rating combination(s) and the expected rating of your test.

  • Gray box. A check in this box indicates the test scenario will be deleted.
  • Rating Combo. This drop-down list allows you to select the series and grade combination to be used in your test scenario.
  • Expected Rating. This drop-down list allows you to select the rating or ineligible codes assigned to your screen-out(s). If the expected rating is "EL", a field will display to enter an expected score.
  • Actual Rating. This column provides the actual score or rating as a result of the test scenario. This rating will not display until the scenario has been tested. The assessment package cannot be marked complete until the test scenario expected outcome and actual outcome match.
  • Delete Selected. This button will display when a check is placed in the gray box next to a test scenario.

The Item Responses section is where you select and assign a response value to the question(s) associated with your test scenario.

  • Assessment Name. This drop-down list displays if there is more than one assessment. You may select from all of the assessments associated with your assessment package.
  • Item. This is a list of the questions in your assessment questionnaire that may be used in the test scenario. A dash (-) to the left of the item indicates the question is a screen-out.
  • Response. This is where you enter the response to be tested.
  • Question. This is the question related to the item selected to be tested which includes the response options. This displays based on the Item and Response selected.
