Manage Competency Network - Competencies

Competencies is where you can view competencies that are in the Competency Network Library for re-use. To access this section, click Admin on the Dashboard, the Admin Home tab displays, click the Manage Competency Networks link in the Libraries section to open the Competency Library tab, click Competencies. For additional information, see Competency Network Quick Reference Guide. The following elements are displayed:

Competencies

The Competencies page displays all competencies with Competency Networks associated with the offices to which you have access. The number to the right indicates how many competencies are available. The following elements are displayed:

  • Modify Filters. This button allows you to select and apply filters to search or sort competencies on the following criteria:
    • Series. This drop-down list allows you to filter competencies by series.
    • Grade. This drop-down list allows you to filter competencies by grade(s).
    • Owning Office. This drop-down list allows you to filter competencies by owning office.
    • Competency ID. This search field allows you to search for specific competency ID numbers.
    • Source. This drop-down list allows you to filter competencies by source.
      • HR Manager
      • Class and/or Qual Standards
      • Job Analysis
      • Job Information Database
      • Other
      • Position Description
      • Subject Matter Expert(s)
      • USA Hire
    • Type. This drop-down list allows you to filter competencies by type.
      • General
      • Technical
      • Supervisory
      • Miscellaneous
    • Status. This drop-down list allows you to filter competencies by status.
      • Draft
      • Published
      • Retired
    • Level. This drop-down list allows you to filter competencies by level.
      • Library
      • Template
      • Vacancy
    • Tags. This drop-down list allows you to filter competencies by tag(s). For additional information, see Tags.
    • Show Only Critical Competencies. This toggle allows you to only show competencies marked as critical.
    • Exclude HR Manager Competencies. This toggle allows you to exclude competencies from HR Manager.
    • Reset Filters. This link allows you to clear all filters currently applied.
  • Competency Title or Definition search field. This field allows you to search competencies by title or definition.
  • +. This icon allows you to view the competency details associated with a specific network. The options are:
    • Competency Network Name. This column displays the name of the competency network. Access a competency network by clicking on the link.
    • Pay Plan. This column displays the pay plan of the position associated with the competency network.
    • Series. This column displays the series of the position associated with the competency network.
    • Grade. This column displays the grade(s) of the position associated with the competency network.
    • Owning Office. This column displays the owning office associated with the competency network.
    • Tags. This column displays the tags associated with the competency network.
  • Competency ID. This column displays the identification number associated with the competency.
  • Title. This column displays the title associated with the competency.
  • Competency Type. This column displays the type associated with the competency.
  • Principal Source. This column displays the principal source associated with the competency.
  • Definition. This column displays the definition associated with the competency.
  • Status. This column displays the status associated with the competency.
