The Assessment Package page is where you define criteria to be applied to one or more assessments associated with your vacancy. Assessments are used to measure applicants’ qualifications to perform the job. To access this tab, select a Request Number in Pending Recruitment status from the Requests tab on the Dashboard, click the Vacancy Number link in the Vacancy Created section, and click the Assessment Package tab. If this tab is not open, see Opening a tab. Alternatively, you can select a Complete Assessment Package task from the Tasks tab on the Dashboard. The following elements are displayed:

Assessment Package Tab_Overview Page

  • USAJOBS Job Title. This field displays the USAJOBS Job Title entered in the Vacancy - Position Information page.
  • Pay Plan-Series-Grade. This field displays the pay plan, series and grade(s) entered in the Vacancy - Position Information page.
  • Announcement Type. This field displays the USAJOBS announcement type(s) selected on the Vacancy - Position Information page.
  • Status. This field displays the status of your Assessment Package either Complete or Incomplete.
  • Source. This field displays the origin of the competency.
  • Assessment Plan. This page is where you create and manage your assessment(s).
  • Job Analysis. This page is where you document the job analysis process used to create your assessment(s).
  • Settings. This page is where you set up the category names and final rating cutpoint when using Category Rating procedures.
  • Checklist. This page is where you see all assessments associated with the vacancy, complete the checklist and verify the rating combinations.
  • Gear icon. This icon provides the option to create a review, select an existing assessment package template, copy an existing assessment package from a vacancy, save a vacancy's assessment package as a template, print the assessment, or clear the existing assessment package content.
  • Documents. This button displays the documents uploaded to the assessment package, as well as the ability to upload additional documents. The number to the right indicates how many documents were uploaded. This button is available from any page in the Assessment Package.   • Notes. This button allows you to add or review notes specific to the assessment. The number next to the right indicates how many notes have been added. Along with the note, the system saves the full name of the user who added the note, date, and time the note was added. For instructions see, Adding an internal note.
  • History. This button displays a record of actions completed; including the name of the user, action or change made, and the date and time it occurred. For instructions, see Viewing history.
