Release 15.9 - 9/8/2023

Applicant Overview

Updated the Manage Late Filers page by streamlining the content presented, giving users the option to open the HTML/PDF copy of the late filer invitation email and modified the invitation button to dynamically update based on the invitation status as follows:

  • Resend Invitation – Displays when the previous link access duration date/time has not expired.
  • Send New Invitation – Displays when the previous link access duration date/time has expired.

Applicant Record

  • The following NOR message code has been modified:
Code Definition Message
IOTC Does not meet min time after competitive appointment You were not considered because your application indicates you do not meet the Time After Competitive Appointment Restriction. This provision states 90 days must elapse after an employee's latest non-temporary competitive appointment before they may be (1) promoted, (2) reassigned, or transferred to a different position or geographical area, or (3) transferred or reinstated to a higher grade or different position in the competitive service.

Applicant List

  • Added the ability for users with the appropriate permission to select and apply the following actions for one or more applicants at a time within a workload management assignment:
    • Override Rating – Enables user to change an applicant’s minimum qualifications rating, final rating, and category directly from the applicant list or within an individual applicant’s record.
    • Remove All Overrides – Enables user to change an applicant’s minimum qualifications rating, final rating, and category directly from the applicant list or within an individual applicant’s record.
    • Review Toggle On/Off – Enables user to update an applicant's status as reviewed, flagged, or pinned directly from the applicant list or within an individual applicant's record.
    • Flag Toggle On/Off – Enables user to update an applicant's status as reviewed, flagged, or pinned directly from the applicant list or within an individual applicant's record.
    • Pin Toggle On/Off – Enables user to update an applicant's status as reviewed, flagged, or pinned directly from the applicant list or within an individual applicant's record.
    • Assignment Review Toggle On/Off – Enables user to update an applicant's status as reviewed, flagged, or pinned directly from the applicant list or within an individual applicant's record.
    • Add Notes – Enables user to add new notes or reply to existing notes in any notes section in the system.
    • Print – Enables user to batch print applicant supporting documents.

  • Included the assessment item numbers on the Assessment page when the applicant information is expanded on an Applicant List, Assignment, Certificate, or Stored list.

Applicant Record

  • The following NOR message code has been updated:

IDPR Unwilling or failed polygraph You were not considered for this position because either you certified that you were not willing to undergo a pre-employment polygraph exam, or you certified that you failed a polygraph exam within the timeframe set forth by agency policy.

  • The following NOR message code has been added:

ELNS3 Eligible, discontinued consideration after following "Rule of Three" procedures Your certified application has received three official considerations under "Rule of Three" procedures; therefore, you will no longer be considered for this position.

Applicant List

  • Modified navigation to retain the current page being worked on upon return when users are reviewing an Applicant List and click away from the list; for example, to open an individual applicant record.
  • Added the ability to copy an applicant saved list, including all applied filters. The Copy List button is displayed after the list is initially saved. Upon copy, the list name will default to “[Original List Name] – Copy”. Users can edit the default list name and edit filters applied (e.g., updating filters to a different grade or location) as needed.

Applicant List

  • Added the applicant’s name to the Notes and Documents headers for clarification and improved usability when adding applicant-level notes and documents from an applicant list.

  • Reordered the Filters located on the Applicant List page to display in the following order based on user feedback:
    • Eligibilities
    • Veterans’ Preference
    • Location
    • Grade
    • Series
    • Specialties
    • Toggles
    • NOR Code
    • Status (RSC)
    • Category Rating
    • Certification Status
    • Advanced Filters
    • Application Date

  • The left-aligned Filters panel will be collapsed when users create and save an applicant list granting more space to work within the list. Note: The Filters will be initially expanded when creating an applicant list.

  • Added an Expired indicator to the applicant list and applicant record when an applicant’s eligibility end date has been reached based on the Expire applications following the period of eligibility setting on the Vacancy Settings page.

  • Added a blue highlight to the individual applicant row within an applicant list/assignment when users click anywhere on the row including the Rating Details, Veteran’s Preference, Documents, and Notes links.
  • Added the applicant’s name to the header when adjudicating Veterans’ Preference from an applicant list/assignment. Also, if the adjudicated Veterans’ Preference differs from what the applicant claimed, a triangle icon is displayed to visually denote there is a difference.

  • Suppressed the Application Received date column by default and the option to display this column is now located within the gear icon. If an application date filter is applied, the column with the appropriate date will be automatically displayed.

Release 15.1 - 1/20/2023

Applicant Record

  • Added the ability to navigate directly to a linked application from the Qualification History section within the applicant record. Clicking the vacancy number link will take users to that application granted they have permission to access it.

Applicant List

  • Enabled users to select Applicant List filters by clicking anywhere over the description text, rather than having to click the checkbox.
  • Modified the process for adjudicating eligibilities within an Applicant List or Assignment to be consistent with the Eligibilities and Ratings page in the applicant record. When users adjudicate an applicant as ineligible for a claimed eligibility, the eligibility will display with the X shield icon and will no longer be removed.

Release 15.0 - 12/16/2022

Applicant Record

  • Added the ability to view notifications in HTML (in addition to PDF) in the Notification History page within an applicant record. The HTML link under the View Content column (formerly titled Body) will open a new tab where users can view the full content of a sent notification without any hidden HTML.
  • Added the ability to view Custom onboarding notifications sent to the new hire to the Notification History page within an applicant record.

Applicant List

  • Added the ability to configure pagination for saved lists, stored lists, assignments, and certificates. The default of 25 applicants per page can now be changed to 50 or 100. Also, the pagination bar will now remain at the bottom of the screen to facilitate navigation to other pages.

  • Added a prompt for the Export Stored List option from the gear menu on a Stored List that allows an HR user to include additional data in the export file for USAJOBS Applicant GUID, Email Address, and/or Phone Numbers. When one or more of these options are selected, the export file will include additional columns with the corresponding information for each applicant on the stored list. Also, renamed the Minimum Qualifications Rating column to NOR Code and the Assessment Rating column to Final Rating in the export file to clarify what the data in these two columns represents.

Release 14.9 - 11/18/2022 Applicant Overview

  • Added the Create List button to the Saved Lists and Stored Lists pages in the Applicant Overview tab and updated the default text when no saved/stored lists are present to "No Saved/Stored Lists have been created for this vacancy yet. Click the Create List button to get started." to better inform users.

Release 14.8 - 10/21/2022 Applicant Overview

  • The following message: "You have initiated a re-rate of all applicants on this vacancy. Depending on the volume of applications and other re-rate actions initiated before this one, this action may take some time. You will receive an alert when this process is complete." will display whenever an HR user performs an action that triggers a vacancy wide re-rate action, including:
    • Selecting Re-Rate Applicants from the gear icon on the Applicant Overview page.
    • Un-completing then completing an Assessment Package after the announcement is released/opened.
    • Changing Categories after the announcement is released/opened.
    • When Minimum Age/Maximum Age is edited after the announcement is released/opened.
    • When Age Screening is removed after the announcement is released/opened.
    • When the Citizenship Screening is edited after the announcement is released/opened.

Applicant Record

  • Made the following changes to the Referral History section within an applicant’s record:
    • Added a hyperlink to the Request Number, which takes users with View Request permission to the request.
    • If a new hire record exists, a View New Hire hyperlink will display in the Return Status column, which takes users with View New Hires permission to the Overview - Onboarding Information page of the new hire record.
